The 14th season of the Indian Premier League is going to start again in September. Many foreign players taking part in IPL have refused to play again this season. However, the BCCI has made it clear that the withdrawal of foreign players will not affect the tournament. BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla said that the tournament will be held in any case, whether foreign players come or not.

The effect of the withdrawal of foreign players on the IPL teams is believed to be certain. If foreign players like Pat Cummins, Ben Stokes, Butler, Curran and Moeen Ali do not play in IPL 14, then the balance of the teams will take a massive hit.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also taken a tough stand. A BCCI official recently told that if foreign players do not play the remaining matches of IPL-14, they will be given money on a pro-rata basis. The official said that the franchise will have the right to deduct the salary of the players.

If a player plays the entire season of IPL, then he is given a salary in 3-4 instalments in 12 months. At the same time, if a player is unable to play the entire season, then he is paid on a pro-rata basis.

The England Cricket Board has clearly said that its players will not go to the UAE for the second phase of the IPL.

Bangladesh Cricket Board has also said that their players will not be a part of IPL.

Cricket Australia's Chief Executive Officer Nick Hockley has said that there is no need to rush in this matter. Hockley said that the board has not taken any decision regarding the availability of Australian players for the remaining matches of IPL 2021 to be held in the UAE.
