Indian players not allowed to meet each other for three days: Axar Patel
Indian spinner Axar Patel has revealed that the team will have to undergo strict three-day quarantine before training at the Ageas Bowl for the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand. The final will start on June 18 and the Indian team arriving here on Wednesday will have very little preparation time. On the other hand, the New Zealand team is playing a two-Test series against England.
The Indian team had been in isolation for 14 days in Mumbai before leaving and is currently on the second segregation of a shorter duration. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has posted a video of the Indian team travelling by a chartered plane.
Akshar said in this video, "I slept very well. Now we have to live in isolation. We have been told that we cannot even meet each other for three days, then we will be in isolation for so many days.
On the other hand, Cheteshwar Pujara said that both he and his daughter slept well on the flight. The video shows almost all the team members moving around inside the charter plane.
India's men's and women's teams left for England on the same plane.
