UP STF and Punjab Police have arrested the main accused Chhajju alias Chhaimar in connection with the murder of relatives of former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina. Chhajju has been arrested from his village Pachpedha located under Baheri police station area of ​​Bareilly district.

When Suresh Raina was in Dubai for the IPL, his aunt's house in Punjab was attacked by miscreants, in which his uncle Ashok died on the spot during the incident, while his brother was also killed later, while his aunt had suffered serious injuries.

Former Team India cricketer Suresh Raina had to return to India from the UAE in the year 2020 after leaving the IPL tournament because his relatives were brutally murdered in Punjab.

Police said that 3 members of this gang were involved in the murder incident last year. Chhajju told the police that he had fled to Hyderabad after the incident, stayed there for some time and then returned to his village in Bareilly.

What happened to my family is Punjab was beyond horrible. My uncle was slaughtered to death, my bua & both my cousins had sever injuries. Unfortunately my cousin also passed away last night after battling for life for days. My bua is still very very critical & is on life support.
