The 23-year-old attained a career-best third in the ODI ranking, regained the T20 top spot after Pakistan spinner Imad Wasim slipped one place while Virat Kohli also goes into the series as the top-ranked batsman in the shortest format.

Ahead of the T20 series against the Kiwis, Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has climbed to the numero uno spot in the latest ICC T20 ranking.

The 23-year-old attained a career-best third in the ODI ranking, regained the T20 top spot after Pakistan spinner Imad Wasim slipped one place while Virat Kohli also goes into the series as the top-ranked batsman in the shortest format.

 

In terms of teams, New Zealand is the top-ranked side in the T20 cricket while the host India are placed in the fifth position and can at best go to the second position with a 3-0 win over the visitors.
