A Bilateral series between the arch-rivals is possibly on the cards, as reported by the Pakistan Media. The last time Indian and Pakistan played a bilateral series was in 2012-13 when Pakistan visited India for a short ODI and T20 series.

Cricket fans are always eagerly waiting for a cricket series to be played between India and Pakistan. But due to the historical rivalry between the two countries, the cricket series has not been organized for several years. But now it seems that a Bilateral series could be organized soon between the two countries in the coming future.

A report published by Pakistan's Daily Jang newspaper on Wednesday quoted a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official saying "that the PCB has been asked to be ready for a bilateral series with India in near future".

However, cricket boards of both countries have kept mute on any development on the resumptions of bilateral cricket.

The international schedule of both teams is very tight this year, however, a positive change in the political situation between the two countries can make way for better bilateral ties in cricket.

Last month's ceasefire is one of those changes that brought a glimmer of hope among the fans.
