IND vs SA: India slumps, South Africa freedom series
India’s glorious run in Test cricket came to a halt. They were tied with England and Australia (9) with most consecutive series victories, and have been brought to the mat by the No. 2 ranked side.
History repeats itself as India once again failed to win a Test series in South Africa. Ahead of the series, many believed this was India’s best chance, terming the team as one of most balanced Indian side in recent history.
The team looked confident and fans were optimistic but once the series began it was the same old story. India lost the first Test even though they had the upper hand and in the second Test, chasing 287, India gave away their wicket cheaply, in the first hour of the fifth day, India had lost three key players and eventually, they were bowled out for 151.
