The big day is finally here, with more than 30,000 fans expected at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, India will make their World Cup debut across all age groups, male or female. The young guns have a daunting task of pitting their wits against the superior USA for 90 minutes, miracles are not expected but a competitive display will the prime objective for the squad. Full-back Boris Singh will miss the opener due to suspension, he is an important part of the team and India will surely miss his presence.

The Colts biggest chance of scoring against the Americans might well be on a set piece, they tall defenders and set-piece specialist would want to make such situation count against a seasoned team like the USA.

While for the USA, it’s a pretty straightforward match, picking up a big win against the host as they are perceived as the weakest team in the group. They are expected to win the match with ease and anything less will be degraded as a failure.
