The Kiwis played two warm-up matches after they landed in India, first with Brazil and then against England, in both matches their defence was exposed and lost 1-2 and 2-3 respectively. However, they have a strong attack but their midfielders and defenders will have to come to the party to ensure they give a tough competition to Turkey.
The FIFA U-17 World Cup kicks-off today and host of matches are being played in the tournament opener. In Group B clash New Zealand will have a tough job at hand when they take on Turkey at the D.Y Patil Stadium on Friday.
