Mayweather outclasses McGregor, knocks him out in the 10th round

Floyd Mayweather  defeated Conor McGregor to claim his 50th victory as well as maintain his unbeaten record in a fight that had been hyped as the richest ever.  A tired Mcgregor was put on the ropes and then a hard left hook from Mayweather left the UFC fighter bent over and helpless, prompting the stoppage. 


As everyone expected, Floyd Mayweather  defeated Conor McGregor to claim his 50th victory as well as maintain his unbeaten record in a fight that had been hyped as the richest ever.  Surprising many, Mcgregor begin well and seemed to have the upper hand, landing a string of scoring punches initially. But soon he realized Mayweather’s greatness and how stamina plays a major in big fights.

 A tired Mcgregor was put on the ropes and then a hard left hook from Mayweather left the UFC fighter bent over and helpless, prompting the stoppage. Mayweather was leading 89-81, 89-82, 87-83 on the ringside cards when the stoppage came and the boxing legend looked steady and  invincible as ever.

The American now boasts a 50-fight unbeaten professional record also announced his permanent retirement declaring that this was his last venture as a professional. "He was a lot better than I thought. But I was the better man. I guaranteed everybody this would not go the distance. Boxing's reputation was on the line,"said Mayweather.

 "I thought it was close and I thought it was a bit of an early stoppage. I was just a little fatigued," said McGregor after the match.

While Mayweather is expected to earn around 200 million $ from the fight, McGregor will also become  wealthier by around 100 million$.
