China's weightlifter won the gold medal in women's weightlifting in the 49 kg category.
Mirabai Chanu started clean and jerk round by lifting 110 kgs. She lifted 115 kg in the second attempt. At the same time, she failed to lift 117 kg in the third attempt. On the other hand, the Chinese weightlifter won the gold medal in clean and jerk by lifting 116 kg.

Chanu, the 2017 world champion in weightlifting, secured her spot in Tokyo by winning a bronze medal by setting a world record at the Asian Championships in Tashkent in April.
The 26-year-old from Manipur secured the quota on the basis of the ranking list of the IWF. This Indian lifter is second in the 49kg category with a score of 4133,6172.
