With Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens set to take on AJ Styles for the WWE Championship in a handicap match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, Shane McMahon decided to book a handicap match of his own for Smackdown's main event, pitting Owens and Zayn against AJ Styles, Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura.

However, Owen and Zayn weren’t interested in the match as they tried to get out of it, both time Shane McMahon had to intervene and change the rule of the match.

Firstly they tried to leave the match, before Shane McMahon changed it to a no count-out-match and then, Owen and Zayn smashed a chair on Orton to force a disqualification, only for McMahon to restart the match again, this time under 'anything goes' rules.

Then the babyfaces chased down their foes. A Kinshasa from Nakamura and an RKO from Orton put Zayn out of his misery.
