Four killed in bike accident, subsequent fight in MP's Dhar district

INDORE: In a freak incident, four persons were killed when a fight broke out between riders of two motorcycles following a head-on collision on Konda-Navdapura road in Dhar district on late Sunday night.Police said that five persons were moving on one motorcycle and three on the other, when they collided head-on killing one Golu , 21, on the spot, Nisarpur police checkpost in-charge Deepak Devare told reporters.The accident took place when labourers were returning home on motorcycles Navadpura and Kunda , he said.Golu’s pillion riders Idda and Shobharam were injured in the accident. The riders of the other bike – Bhupendra, Rama, Mukesh Singh, Sonu Babulal and Jitendra, also sustained injuries and lay on the road, when Golu’s friends, moving on another vehicle, reached the spot.They beat up the injured bikers, killing Bhupendra, Mukesh and Sonu on the spot.Onlookers claimed that the attackers fled the spot when they pelted stones at them to prevent them from further injuring the victims.Police have booked case of murder against the attackers, four of whom have been identified, police said.The injured were rushed to hospital in Barwani.Funerals of the deceased were performed on Monday, in police presence to prevent any flare-up.
