South actress Jayanthi’s family refutes death rumours

It was being reported that Veteran South Indian actress Jayanthi was admitted to the hospital after complaining of breathing problems. She was put on ventilator and her condition was a bit critical.

But a few of the publications reported that Jayanthi has passed away and the news spread like a wildfire. However later it was revealed that it is just a death hoax.

Yes, the actress’ family members reportedly claimed that Jayanthi is still alive and revering from her illness.

In an interview to a leading tabloid Jayanthi's son Krishna Kumar was quoted saying "She has been suffering from asthma for 35 years. She used inhalers every day and was never admitted to hospital over breathing issues. Last evening, her health started deteriorated and she was taken to Sidvin Hospital. Based on doctor's advises, we shifted her to Vikram Hospital in Cunningham Road. The doctors have told us that she will be kept under observation for the next 24 hours. She is currently on the ventilator."

As per reports, the veteran is responding well to the treatment and may be discharged in a couple of days.
