'Padmaavat' producers move SC after 6 states ban film

The problems for ‘Padmaavat’ don’t seem to end soon. Yes, after being banned in six states, the producers of the film moved Supreme Court to challenge the ban on its screening.

In the petition, the film's producer has questioned the power of the state governments on the imposition of a complete ban on the film despite SC’s earlier clarification that film can be suspended in a particular area because of law and order but can’t be completely banned.

Apart from Haryana, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand have decided not allow the release of Padmaavat.

Well, the film is scheduled for release on January 25 and what fate has in store for ‘Padmaavat’, only time will tell. Till then stay tuned.
