Summary:

He further added that the continuous protests were also necessary as it didn’t allow the makers to show the intimate scenes between Rani Padmini and Alauddin Khilji.

After Supreme Court’s decision of lifting up the ban from ‘Padmaavat’, a special screening was held for Rajput Karni Sena members.

While speaking to a leading daily, the mediator Suresh Chavhanke said, "Alauddin Khilji has been portrayed in the manner he should have been portrayed".

Calling it as a victory for Rajputs, he further added that the continuous protests were also necessary as it didn’t allow the makers to show the intimate scenes between Rani Padmini and Alauddin Khilji.

However, Rajput members rubbished the rumours of attending the special screening. Karni Sena chief, Lokednra Singh Kalvi said, “Not a single member of the Karni Sena watched the film. Why are rumours being spread again and again when we have already taken a stand and shared it with the media, not once or twice but many times? We say it again that we will not allow ‘Padmaavat’ to be screened in India at any cost.”

The movie is slated to release on 25th January.  What will happen next in this case, only time will tell. Till then stay tuned.
