Teenage actress Zaira Wasim talks about being in depression

Many celebs have spoken about depression in Bollywood and it has become a talking point in the industry.

Stars like Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut, Ileana Dcruz and many more have spoken about their struggles with the mental disease.

And now recently, another name has come out and that’s of ‘Dangal’ fame Zaira Wasim. Yes, the 17-yr-old revealed that she was a victim of depression on Twitter. In her long note, the actress wrote,

“Popping 5 antidepressants every day, anxiety attacks, being rushed to the hospital in the middle of the night, feeling empty, restless, anxious, hallucinations, having sore limbs from sleeping too much to not being able to sleep for weeks, from overeating to starving myself, unexplained fatigue, body ache, self-loathing, nervous breakdowns, suicidal thoughts were all parts of this PHASE.”

She further added

“I just need a complete break from everything, my social life, my work, school and especially social media. I’m really looking forward to the holy month of Ramadhan as it may be the perfect opportunity to figure things out. Please remember me in your prayers,”

Zaira also thanked her family and near and dear ones for “being patient” with her.
