After Deepika, Shahid Kapoor to get waxed at Madame Tussauds

Bollywood's popularity is increasing globally. Yesterday, Rani Padmaavati aka Deepika Padukone went Facebook live to announce his achievement of getting a wax statue at Madame Tussauds in London. Now, her co-star Shahid Kapoor has become the next Bollywood star to get waxed at the museum. The Padmaavat actor announced the news on his Instagram account by posting the picture of holding an eyeball for a measurement and captioned it, “Keep an eye out. Coming soon.”

Though he didn’t give the hint that in which Madame Tussauds he will get his wax statue. But it'll be revealed soon. Meanwhile this is a huge achievement for Shahid, who recently entered the Rs 300 crore club with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat. He played the character of Rajput warrior Maharawal Ratan Singh and won accolades and praises for his extraordinary performances.

On the work front, Shahid will be next seen in Batti Gul Meter Chalu, which is directed by Shree Narayan Singh, who previously helmed Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. It was a successful venture at the box office. Batti Gul Meter Chalu is a social satire and also stars Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles. The film will hit the screens on September 21.
