Summary:

The Bandra police lodged the FIR on September 7, based on a complaint filed by Late Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty.

The Bandra police lodged the FIR on September 7, based on a complaint filed by Late Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty.

In the complaint, the actress noted Rajput's sisters and Dr Tarun Kumar of the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital based in Delhi of forging a prescription of medicines supposedly for anxiety that was allegedly prohibited under the NDPC Act, 1985.

The Bombay high court on Monday refused to quash the FIR registered by Bandra Police on September 7, 2020, against Singh.

A division bench of justices SS Shinde and MS Karnik, however, quashed criminal proceedings against Meetu Singh, another sister of the late actor, after finding that there was no material against her.

The sisters have moved the high court for quashing of the FIR, claiming the statements made therein did not make out any cognisable offence.

Rajput's lawyer Vikas Singh had at the time alleged that the FIR against his sisters and others on Chakraborty's complaint is illegal and they will take serious action in the matter. In the petition, Rajput's sisters claimed the FIR was filed based just on misleading media reports.
