According to a leading report, the incident took place when Jai was partying with Premji Amaren and few others. Jai lost control of his car, thereby colliding into a divider near Adyar.
The report further suggested that the actor was booked under Sections 185 and 279 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
However, later, the actor was later released on bail.
This is not the first time, earlier also in 2014, Jai was booked for drunk-driving after his car rammed the median near Kasi theatre.
On the work front, Jai is teaming up with Venkat Prabhu for ‘Party’, a comedy-drama.
