Actually John’s film ‘Parmanu’ was set to release on 8th of December but now to avoid competition with a big banner film ‘Padmavati’ which is releasing on 1st of December, Parmanu’s release date has been shifted to February 2018.

Talking about the same the co-producer Prernaa Arora said,

"Padmavati, which was set to release on 17th Novembe, has been pushed to 1st Decmeber. We were in 8th December. Our's is a very big film, very important film. We have made it with our heart. It's a very important film for the country. We want to showcase our film the right way. We need the right theatres to ve around us. We have to do everything correctly. So, that's the reason we though of not coming on the 8th because we did a proper showcase. So, that's the reason John and I discussed and then we thought of Feb."

Well, not ‘Padmavati’, but ‘Parmanu’ will have a tough competition with Rani Mukherjee’s ‘Hichki’ which is expected to release in February too.
