Veteran filmmaker Lekh Tandon, who directed Shah Rukh Khan in his early TV shows and later shared the screen with him in films like ‘Swades’ and ‘Chennai Express’, passed away at the age of 88. He breathed his last at his Powai home on October 15th.

The filmmaker had won a Filmfare Best Screenplay Award for his 1978 movie ‘Dulhan Wahi Jo Piya Man Bhaye’ and had directed many television serials as well.
