Looks like the problems for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ are no sooner going to end before its release as, after Rajput outfits, it’s BJP which has jumped into the controversy.

Speaking to a leading daily, BJP spokesman and Kshatriya leader I K Jadeja said, “We have received representations from Khastriya community opposing any purported distortion of history and character of Rani Padmavati in the movie. History says that Padmavati never met Alauddin Khilji. Any distortion in the movie which hurts sentiments of Rajput/Kshatriya community should be avoided as Gujarat is going to polls in December."

Well, first vandalisation of the set, SLB's effigies were burnt, a rangoli was destroyed in Surat and now this, 'Padmavati' has already courted a lot of controversies.

We wonder what the makers have to say about this.

Neverthe less, the movie is all set to hit the screens early in December while Gujarat elections are scheduled on December 9 and 14.
