Looks like problems for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ are no sooner going to end before its big release, as now BJP lawmaker, Raj Purohit has come out to oppose the movie and has sought a ban on the movie.

He wrote letters to the CBFC and Information and Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani detailing and justifying his demand for a ban.

In a press conference, in the presence of the members of the Maharashtra unit of Karni Sena.  Raj Purohit said, “Mr Bhansali has twisted the historical facts about the braveheart royal women of our country. The legendary queen (Padmavati) has been reportedly portrayed in a bad light (in the film). Rani Padmavati never danced, rather all women from royal families lived a very dignified life.”

Starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, 'Padmavati' is set to release on November 30th.

We wonder what Sanjay Leela Bhansali has to say about it?
