Recently, in a shocking turn of events former Indian Idol contestant Suraj Bahadur has been arrested for robbery in Delhi. The young man apparently confessed to his crime, which he did to fund his lavish lifestyle.
The police arrested him after he robbed three men in outer Delhi along with his aide Anil, 22. Suraj is known as Fighter in the criminal circles. The young man also sang Ishq Sufiyana when he was being taken away by the police.
In a statement, DCP (outer Delhi) MN Tiwari told the media, “The accused admitted to their involvement in more than two dozen cases of robbery, auto lifting, thefts, and offences under the Arms Act. A country-made pistol, a live .32 bore cartridge, a pepper spray, and a scooter were recovered from their possession.”
