Summary:

Disney reignited excitement worldwide in the hearts with the people with the announcement of reopening of Walt Disney World theme parks of Florida in a phased manner from July11.  It will become the first of the company’s domestic theme parks to welcome back guests.

First, Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will reopen on July 11, followed by EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios on July 15.

In a statement on Tuesday, Disney’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Pamela Hymel, said new requirements from temperature checks, to face coverings and extra sanitation would enable guests to enjoy Disney World “responsibly.”

“While COVID-19, and the risk of contracting it, is present in public places, there are many important ways that we can all help promote each other’s safety,” Hymel said.

Disney’s all-around approach is designed to help reduce risk within the carefully managed environments of its parks and resorts. Several new sets of operational guidelines and protocols are released under the following categories of Health and Wellness, Cleaning and Disinfection, Technology Solutions, Cast Member Training and Working Together.
