Hornbill Festival of Nagaland might get cancelled this year

The Hornbill Festival starts on December 1 every year and continues till 10 days to celebrate the tribal heritage and culture across the state. Several people from India and the world visit this fest. H Khehovi Yepthomi, Tourism Advisor, Nagaland, told the press that the state won’t be able to organise the festival if the conditions do not get better.

News has it that Nagaland has already been suffering revenue losses after COVID-19 hit tourist arrivals in the state. In addition, the state tourism industry depends a lot on the Hornbill Festival for its sustenance. The festival begins from mid-October and ends in December.
