Triumph motorcycle unveils Trident

Triumph Motorcycles has revived its iconic brand Trident. The company revealed on Tuesday the design prototype of the upcoming Trident, claimed to be one of the most affordable motorcycles in the current roadster line-up.

The new Trident will mark the company`s entry into the middle-weight roadster category. It will be commercially launched in the first quarter of 2021 and will take on the likes of Honda CBR650R, Kawasaki Ninja 650R and Yamaha MT-07.

The motorcycle will have a triple-cylinder engine expected to be around 650cc. The company will reveal detailed technical specifications of the bike at a later stage.

Steve Sargent, Chief Product Officer, Triumph Motorcycles, said, "The Trident design prototype marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Triumph, where the brief was all about fun, from the look to the ride. Ultimately our aim is to bring a new take on character and style, alongside the accessible easy handling and quality Triumph is known for – at a price that’s really competitive."
