Why You Should Try Watching American Football

Summary:

The history of American football can be traced back to early versions of rugby and football. Both games have their origins in England, but American football developed into a separate sport with its own rules and regulations.

The first official game of American football was played on November 6, 1869, between two college teams: Rutgers and Princeton. However, the game bore little resemblance to modern sport.

It wasn’t until 1873 that a standardized set of rules was adopted by most colleges. These rules were known as the Intercollegiate Football Association rules.

As the game continued to evolve, professional teams began to emerge in the late 1800s. The first professional team was the Allegheny Athletic Association, which was formed in 1890. The first professional league was the National Football League (NFL), which was founded in 1920.

Sure, American football is not as popular in India as it is in America where you have the best Nfl lines at every sportsbook, but today we are going to show you why you should try watching this sport.

American Football Is A Simple Sport
One of the best things when it comes to American Football is that it is a pretty simple game, unlike cricket which can be pretty complicated for rookies. For example, each team must have 11 players on the field at all times. This includes the quarterback, who is the leader of the offense, and the defense, which is responsible for stopping the other team from scoring.

The second rule is that each team must advance the ball 10 yards in order to keep possession. This can be done by either throwing the ball forward or running with it. If the team fails to do this, they will have to give up possession of the ball to the other team.

The third rule is that each team can score points by either kicking the ball through the opponent’s goal posts or by carrying it into their end zone. Touchdowns are worth six points, while extra points can be earned by kicking the ball through the goal posts (worth one point) or by running or throwing it into the end zone (worth two points).

That is pretty much it.

American Football Is Aesthetically Beautiful
There are a few reasons why American football is an aesthetically beautiful sport. First, the game is played on a large field that is simply beautiful to watch. Second, the players are all wearing pads and helmets, which makes them look tough and intimidating. Third, the game is very fast-paced, which adds to the excitement. Also, the players are pretty graceful when they do exactly what their coaches tell them to do.

The Game Is Strategic
It is safe to say that many people would say that American Football is not a strategic game. Sure, every now and then there is a situation where a player gets the ball and simply runs across the field and scores a touchdown. But, most of the time, the plays are strategically prepared by the coaches. It is simply beautiful to watch how two coaches are trying to outsmart each other on the field.

If you are searching for a new sport to watch, maybe American football is the best option.
