Himanta meets IPFT chief to discuss 'differences'

AGARTALA: Chairman of Northeast Democratic alliance and Assam finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met Indigenous People's Party of Tripura (IPFT) supremo Narendra Chandra Debbarma here on Friday to discuss conflicts between BJP and IPFT in the state. Sarma has also reportedly told the IPFT chief that BJP will contest both the Lok Sabha seats from the state.The alliance partners are reportedly up in arms now about chairmanship to the Lefunga and the Killa block advisory committees to both of which the IPFT lays claim. The duo reportedly had a detailed discussion on how differences between the two parties can be ironed out at the local level.Though both the leaders did not say anything about what had transpired in the meeting, BJP sources said Sarma discussed with Debbarma about the problems between the two parties in Tripura and assured the IPFT supremo that the differences will be ironed out soon..
