Tripura government to replace CID with crime branch

AGARTALA: The state government has decided to replace the criminal investigation department (CID) and enforcement branches of state police with a crime branch, like other big states. The crime branch will be entrusted with four areas - cyber crime, economic offences, narcotics control and serious crimes like crucial murders, planned killing and terrorism," Nath stated.
