The police accountability commission (PAC) has served show-cause notices to three Tripura police officers for their alleged highhandedness while arresting former PWD minister Badal Choudhury. The PAC on Wednesday issued show-cause notices to West Agartala police station officer-in-charge Subrata Chakraborty, DSP Dhruba Nath and DSP (crime branch) Ajay Kumar Das for allegedly violating the provisions of Tripura Police Act during arrest of Choudhury. Accepting a complaint filed by Shreya Ghosh, daughter of former minister Choudhury, PAC chairman Swapan Chandra Das slapped notices on the three officials. She alleged that police harassed Choudhury and her mother Namita Gope while he was taken to west Agartala police station on October 30.
