CPI M s tribal wing in Tripura to organize 35 anti CAA protest rallies

The Tripura Rajya Upajati Ganamukti Parishad (TRUGP), the tribal wing of the CPI (M) in Tripura, has decided to organise at least 35 protest rallies against CAA across the state. Informing this on Monday, TRUGP general secretary Radha Charan Debbarma told Northeast Now that the protest rallies against the CAA have been started in Tripura from January 17 and it will continue till January 25. Debbarma said, “TRUGP has started a 9-day-long protest programme against the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 across the state.”Debbarma added, “Our target is to organize at least 35 anti-CAA protest rallies across the state. Through the protest rallies, we will also make the people aware of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) 2019.”Till Monday morning, the Tripura Rajya Upajati Ganamukti Parishad has organized protest rallies at Manu, Kanchanpur, Anandabazar, Sonamura and Raisyabari.
