Tripura government adopts new tourism policy

Tripura state Cabinet has decided to send a proposal to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) for announcing Unokoti as 'World Heritage Site'. Tripura recorded an income of Rs three crore from tourism sector last year. He also informed that the council of ministers adopted tourism policy in the State designed by the state government to promote Tripura globally. The minister also said, the State Government laid maximum priority on border tourism, eco tourism, religious tourism, tea tourism, adventure tourism, ethnic tourism and heritage tourism.
