Per capita income Sikkim tops among northeastern states

Among the northeastern states, with a per capita income of Rs 3.17 lakh, Sikkim topped the charts and with Rs 1.54 lakh, Tripura attained an “excellent increase in per capita earnings”. Addressing the media Nath said, “Among the eight states of northeast, Sikkim and Tripura have achieved major success in per capita income and Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP)”. “The per capita income in Sikkim is Rs 3.17 lakh,” Nath said. “Tripura's per capita income in 2017-18 when CPI (M) was in power in the state, was Rs 1.05 lakh,” Nath further added.
