Over 800 Congress workers detained in Tripura during 12 hour bandh

The police detained more than 800 Congress party workers and supporters on Monday, who staged protest in different parts of Tripura during the 12-hour bandh called by the party. Barring a few sporadic incident, no untoward incident were reported during the bandh. The bandh partially affected normal life with shops and markets being half closed. They also protested against alleged attacks on Congress workers by the ruling party cadres.
