Tripura Family of man killed by NLFT to receive Rs 5 lakhs as compensation

The Tripura government will provide Rs 5 lakhs as compensation to the family of Liton Nath who was recently abducted and killed by insurgents. Deputy chief minister Jishnu Deb Barma announced this and said that all possible assistance will be provided to the victim's family. National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) cadres had abducted him on November 27 from his house. The police recovered the body of Liton Nath from a forest at Ranipara in North Tripura district on January 15.
