The virus made deep penetration into the state despite the fortified Line of Actual Control negating the possibility of the virus being physically transmitted into the state.
But the spread of the infection resulted in the expulsion of workers from neighbouring Assam and other states during the months of lockdown.
Many believe, the difficult terrain turned into an advantage as it naturally isolated dwellers.
“The terrain has been the main reason why we have been less affected.
Even now about 700 people are getting tested.
The rate is very good for a state with a population of 14-15 lakh,” said Arunachal Pradesh health secretary P Parthiban.
