Tripura Football as a means to strengthen Indo Bangla ties

The Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guard of Bangladesh (BGB) will participate in a football tournament to foster strong diplomatic ties between Indian and Bangladesh. The Maitree Football Match series will begin at Belonia in Tripura on March 18 and will comprise of six matches. The football series is being organized as part of the ongoing celebrations of Bangladesh's 50 years of independence. According to BSF Tripura frontier IG Sushanta Nath, the relations between BSF and BGB have seen a marked improvement owing to collaborative programmes such as Maitree cycle rallies and other similar activities.
