Cough syrup is a profitable item of the drug racket as it is very popular among the youth who consume it as a substitute for liquor.

After the prohibition of alcohol, drug addicted youth have started using many liquid drugs as an alternative to alcohol.

These drugs contain ingredients like Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Codeine Phosphate, which, if consumed in overdoses harm the body.
