Tripura police lodges FIR against six TMC leaders including Abhishek Banerjee

After West Bengal, now the political tussle between Trinamool Congress and BJP has started in Tripura.

Amid the ongoing allegations and counter-allegations over the recent incidents of political violence, the Tripura Police has filed FIR against Trinamool leaders Dola Sen, Bratya Basu, Kunal Ghosh, Subal Bhowmik and Sriprakash Das, including Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee`s nephew and MP Abhishek Banerjee.

They are accused of allegedly misbehaving with Additional SP and SDPO Khowai and obstructing their duties.

The FIR said that after the arrest of 14 Trinamool leaders and workers on Sunday morning, a group of party workers led by Minister Bratya Basu and MP Dola Sen reached Khowai police station.

Soon after, Abhishek Banerjee also reached the police station.

The TMC leaders misbehaved with the Additional SP and other policemen.

Now Tripura Police has lodged an FIR in the matter.

TMC`s eyes are set on the 2023 assembly elections in Tripura.

Under this, other leaders including Abhishek went on a political tour, where his convoy was attacked.

Recently, TMC supremo Mamta Banerjee has blamed Amit Shah for the attack on her nephew Abhishek Banerjee`s convoy in Tripura.
