Tripura hikes salary of government staff by around 20%

"The minimum pay scale has been approved at Rs 14,040 in comparison to existing Rs 6,240. Trinamool Congress president Ashis Kumar Saha said the hike is "mere eyewash" as the hike is a meagre one. The maximum scale will be revised at Rs 1,17,000 from the existing amount of Rs 52,000. We demand that the chief minister implement the recommendations of the 7th CPC like other states," said BJP spokesperson Ashok Sinha. Similarly, the benefit will also be extended all categories of employees including 9000 fixed pay and DRW and 60,491 pensioners and their family," Saha said..
