Constable caught red-handed with Rs 40,000 bribe by anti-corruption wing

AGRA: A constable of GRP was arrested by Anti-corruption wing , after he was caught red-handed for taking bribe of Rs 40,000 from a railway vendor.Identified as Alok Gautam , the constable was posted at Tundla station . "The railway vendors had alleged that constable Gautam on the behest of Inspector Rajkamal Singh, was extorting Rs 1 lakh per month as bribe from Tundla railway station food stall vendors. Further, a departmental inquiry has been set up in the case, if more men are found involved in alleged bribery, then respective cops would be suspended." If refused, the cops would threaten vendors with fake FIR to halt their business.
