Agra industrialists to present their side in ongoing Taj case in SC

It is clearly visible judging by their inaction.”“As per the standard, 33% green cover should be developed in and around Agra to curb the pollution but only 8.4% green area exists at present,” he said, adding that no action has been taken to control the level of air pollution, which has been increasing due to the construction activities.Tewari said that the government is fully responsible for the condition of Taj Mahal but the tourism industry and industrialist have been suffering due to their apathy. Agra: A day after the Supreme Court slammed the Centre and UP government for their apathy towards preserving and restoring the pristine beauty of the Taj Mahal , National Chamber of Industries and Commerce (NCIC), Agra has decided to appoint a lawyer to represent their viewpoint before the apex court.Accusing the state government of failing to implement the guidelines of the apex court regarding saving the Taj Mahal, the NCIC office members said that they were being wrongly blamed for the present situation.They said the Supreme Court had earlier ordered a suspension on expansion of industrial units in the Taj Trapezium Zone (TTZ), an area of nearly 10,400 sq km spread over the districts of Agra, Firozabad, Mathura, Hathras and Etah in Uttar Pradesh and Bharatpur in Rajasthan..
