Agra: Union defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman, UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath and envoys of several countries will be interacting with over 500 industrialists at the meeting of Defence Industrial Corridor in Aligarh on Saturday.The city has been designated as one of the six nodal points of defence industrial corridor in UP. The proposed defence corridor will pass through six districts — Aligarh, Agra, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow and Chitrakoot.According to officials in the defence ministry, some investment-related announcements are likely to be made in this meet.“Interactive sessions with ambassadors of several countries and captains of the Indian defence manufacturing industries and the industry associations have also been planned during the event," said a defence ministry official.Aligarh district magistrate, CB Singh, said, “All preparations have been made for the meeting.
