Aligarh police books man for burning National flag

AGRA: The Aligarh police has booked a 32-year-old man for allegedly burning a small paper made national flag , on Wednesday. The suspect, who is absconding, was booked under the prevention of insults to National Honour Act, 1971.According to police, the man, Sattan Singh , was trying to burn the flag with a match stick when someone spotted and tried to stop him. However, he managed to escape after assaulting the person.The incident occurred in Chandaukha village under Janwa police station.A case has been registered under relevant sections on the basis of the complaint filed by one Kaushal Kumar, who is a resident of neighbouring village, Pala, said SHO Udit Kumar.He said, the man will be arrested soon.Police said that preliminary investigation revealed that Singh is mentally disturbed and usually gets into fights with others over a trivial issues..
