Digvijay says hike in fuel prices will cost Modi LS polls

Agra: Senior congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Wednesday slammed the Modi government for rising fuel prices and essential commodities, besides falling of rupee, and said the BJP would have to pay a heavy price in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.Speaking to media in Vrindavan, Digvijay said, “Public is quiet at present, but their anger will reflect in upcoming polls for sure”. He said the BJP-led NDA government had totally failed in controlling the price rise.Commenting on the ongoing agitations by upper castes against the amendment in the SC/ST Act, Singh said people should ask the BJP about the amendment, as the party had promised it in every election to end the act, if voted to power.He said, “Punish them if they have cheated you.”.
