Agra: Mayor Naveen Jain on Sunday declared a 15-day plantation campaign, which will start on Monday and continue till Gandhi Jayanti on October 2. Tree guards will be installed to protect the plants.On Monday, the mayor will kick off the campaign by planting trees along with school children in Wazirpura locality. Under the campaign “Tham Lo Hariyali”, 10,000 trees of different varieties will be planted on both sides of several main roads as well as on dividers. We will also take the help of different organizations and schools.”“A private firm has been assigned the responsibility of planting the trees and installing the tree guards through tender process.
