90 MLD water treatment plant stops working city to suffer water scarcity for 45 days

It has two water treatment plants of 90 MLD each and one of 45 MLD. Out of the three water treatment plants at Jeevani Mandi, two are working efficiently. The capacity of Jeevani Mandi has now reduced to 135 MLD.The other water works station in the city is at Sikandra. Agra: A major part of the city, including Nunihai, Kala Mahal, parts of Jeevani Mandi, Gokulpura, Ahirpara, Roshan Mohalla and Sadar Bhatti, witnessed water scarcity on Friday as one of three water treatment plants at Jeevani Mandi water works station stopped working. While one of the 90 MLD plants has stopped working, the other one, several decades old, does not perform at its full capacity..
