District hospital out of anti-rabies vaccine stock since last month

Agra: In the wake of two back-to-back deaths in monkey attacks in Agra, it has now emerged that the district hospital has been out of anti-rabies vaccine (ARV) since last month. We came to the district hospital for proper treatment but here the rabies injection is not available. Under the circumstances, the lack of ARV stocks at the district hospital is a serious problem. On an average, 200 cases of dog and monkey bites are reported at the out-patient department (OPD) of the district hospital every day, say doctors.
