Over two dozen cows found dead in a cowshed in Aligarh, inquiry ordered

AGRA: Over two dozen cows were found dead in the past 48 hours in a privately-run cow shelter in village Pisawa in Chandos block of Aligarh The district administration has ordered an inquiry and formed a four-member team to find out the cause of cattle death. However, officials suspect that another reason could be that a large number of cows were sheltered against its capacity of 150 cows.Singh said that four member team headed by the SDM, Anirudh Pratap Singh, will submit its report and action will be taken accordingly. The district authorities have also released a fund of Rs 50,000 for the welfare of animals at the shelter.Talking to TOI, Chief Development Officer, Dinesh Chandra Singh said that the cow shelter was being run by Pankaj Tewari without any registration for the past two years.Tewari told the officials that the main reason for the death of cows was rains and cold weather..
